Use each of the three-step products twice daily. Wash first with the Cleansing Foam, then apply the Clarifying Lotion. Finish with the Clearing Lotion.

Clinique believes that eliminating acne from your face doesn’t have to mean neglecting your skin. The products in Clinique’s Acne Solutions starter kit use the popular 3-step configuration of a face wash, cleansing toner solution, and after-repair serum — but with secondary ingredients to keep the active ingredients from being too harsh. The Cleansing Foam cleans the skin of surface impurities so that the Clarifying Lotion can exfoliate and unclog blocked pores, while the Clearing Moisturizer prevents future breakouts and repairs damage done by existing breakouts.
The interesting thing about the Clinique Acne Solutions starter kit is its ingredients list. The concentrations of active ingredients in each of the three steps are surprisingly high — quantities that rival some entry-level clinical solutions. Clinique’s application of this acne-fighting powerhouse is still reasonably gentle. Clinique says that despite the high concentrations of ingredients, the Acne Solutions system won’t dry out your skin if used properly.
Clinique’s formula also targets excess sebum production to prevent one of the leading causes of breakouts. The Acne Solutions starter kit also helps eliminate bacteria to prevent future breakouts. It’s a practical solution that helps get rid of the acne blemishes already on your skin and then prevent future breakouts from occurring. Extended use is necessary to maintain results.
