Veralyze Eye Cream

Veralyze Overview

With a powerful Peptide six-pack, Veralyze does more than just eliminate the appearance of fine lines; it tackles the deepest wrinkles at the source for tighter, smoother skin. Veralyze is an anti-wrinkle cream that claims to revolutionize the way women take care of fine lines, crow’s feet, and dark circles. According to its manufacturer, Veralyze should take full effect within two weeks. The secret to Veralyze’s success is its blend of six key peptides – all of which promote tighter, healthier skin.

A Closer Look at Veralyze

Veralyze is designed for general use; therefore, people looking for a targeted eye treatment may wish to continue their search. Although Veralyze has been shown to be effective at reducing dark circles and diminishing crow’s feet, it is formulated to handle wrinkles and signs of aging all over the face – not just around the eyes. As the skin around the eyes is very delicate, it is important for those with sensitive skin to be extra careful in their eye product selection. Peptides within Veralyze have been proven to enhance the appearance of skin after a long period of time, so those who use Veralyze should not expect immediate effects.

However, for those who have the time and patience to wait, you may reap exceedingly beneficial rewards. That peptide action is not something to be taken lightly, and while there are no clinical studies of Veralyze itself, many of its ingredients have proven their efficacy time and time again in trials.

It’s not all good news, unfortunately. Veralyze has incredibly mixed reviews from users, with approximately half giving it 3 stars or less. Many claim that it has superior moisturizing capabilities, but didn’t affect their wrinkles. Whether or not they continued use for the full two weeks and beyond is undeterminable.

  • May be ineffective or irritating to skin

Key Ingredients

Veralyze and its 6 parabens are the star of this cream, undeniably. However, those are far from the only ingredients in this cream. There are several familiar faces like Glycerin and Argireline, and also a few exciting extras like Beeswax and natural extracts. But among them are also a few more concerning additions, namely parabens and preservatives with worrying side effects.

Argireline NP

This peptide compound is the headliner of many a facial cream. It is a profoundly popular addition nowadays thanks to its Botox-like action, which inhibits glutamate release. This natural peptide keeps muscles around the eyes relaxed, which in turn prevents wrinkles from forming. But, unlike Botox, it is topical rather than injected, and is not a toxin at all. 5 More Peptides

The five additional Peptides included in Veralyze are Pentapeptide-19, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Oligopeptide-29, Octapeptide-4, and Decapeptide-7.  The prefix of the name (penta, oligo, octa, and deca) identify how many amino acids make up the chain (five, two, eight, and ten, respectively). Different chains of amino acids are beneficial in different ways, but all amino acids help with the production of collagen. More collagen means plumper skin, which looks and feels younger. Most modern wrinkle-fighters include at least one Peptide, maybe two, but Veralyze gets as much of the good stuff in as possible.

Propylparaben

While this ester occurs in nature and can be found in many plants and even some insects, it is mostly lab-created for use in cosmetic products. It acts as a preservative in many water-based formulas, or products with high moisture retention. It keeps products from going stale or spoiling, however, increased presence of parabens has been linked to increased risk of breast cancer.

Disodium EDTA

This chemical is used mostly as a preservative and stabilizing agent. It also enhances penetration, meaning that the other ingredients can latch on to Disodium EDTA and be carried much further into the dermis than they could venture on their own. With helpful ingredients like Peptides along for the ride, this makes for a fantastic combination. But, it must be noted that the less than stellar add-ins like Propylparaben also get a free ride deep into the skin, where we definitely don’t want it.

Full List of Ingredients

Directions: How to Use Veralyze

Veralyze is best used in combination with a skin cleanser. First, cleanse and rinse the face, then pat dry gently. Apply a small amount of the product to your fingertips, massaging into the skin slowly until dissolved. Use once in the morning and again in the evening. Can be used under makeup with little to no adverse  effect.

If you have sensitive skin, or are just uncertain about trying a new product, do a patch test on your forearm 24 hours prior to your first intended use on your face. If your forearm shows any sign of irritation, discontinue use immediately.

The Final Word on Veralyze

While its Peptide power is undeniable, slightly slow results and a few iffy ingredients make Veralyze a questionable candidate for the battle against wrinkles. Results seem uncertain, and with no clinical trials on the end product itself, there is no guarantee it will be beneficial to the skin. It has been shown to be an excellent moisturizer, but if that is all you need, then skip the parabens and go all-natural instead.
